Georgian College, Barrie Chamber of Commerce to launch Changemaker Workplace designation program

WHAT:

Georgian College and the Barrie Chamber of Commerce launch COLABORATORY, an initiative to engage future-focused, small- to medium-sized businesses with likeminded Georgian students. Through the program, businesses can gain a Changemaker Workplace designation by learning about how to support the needs and goals of the future workforce, and changemaker students get to network with companies that care about the same things they do.

CALL FOR NOMINATIONS AND APPLICATION REGIONAL TOURISM ORGANIZATION 7 BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Regional Tourism Organization 7 (RTO7) seeks nominations and applications to fill four vacancies on its Board of Directors. These vacancies are the results of three directors completing their four-term commitment to the RTO7 Board of Directors and one director retiring early from the Board of Directors.

The Barrie Chamber of Commerce 48th Annual Spring Classic Golf Tournament, will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at Bear Creek Golf Club.

This tournament is one of the Chamber’s flagship events and is on many professionals’ lineups of annual events not to miss. Always a fun way to connect and network with fellow members and the business community. Cancer Support for Individuals and Families Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka is a local organization responsible for raising awareness and funds to ensure that the Cancer Support Programming we offer free of charge, is available for anyone in our community who is impacted by cancer. This is our 15th Annual event!

We encourage you to support of our signature event, “A Sunday Afternoon…at the Lake”. By supporting Gilda’s Club Simcoe Muskoka, you’re helping build a cancer support community so that no one faces cancer alone.

The City of Barrie is updating its Culture Master Plan and incorporating a Public Art Strategy. This plan will help to shape Barrie’s cultural trajectory over the next decade and guide future decisions, policies, programs and investments to enhance the local creative sector. The public are encouraged to get involved and provide feedback, so the City can better understand the view and values towards culture and public art in Barrie. A comprehensive community and sector stakeholder consultation process has been planned to support recommendations for the plan and strategy and all community members are encouraged to participate.

My name is Tyler Celli and I am the new Corporate Services Coordinator here at CFB Borden.

We have some incredible events being planned for this year to help celebrate our Military members , their families and the local community. We would absolutely love it if you would join in to assist our efforts in celebrating this amazing community. Currently we are actively searching for Vendors to be on location for these events, as well as Product-In-Kind donations for Prizes and Giveaways for our members upon winning our events and challenges.

We have many different events / efforts going on constantly at our base, serving both Active Military Members as well as support for their families. We have youth programs, mental and physical health courses, sports teams and more that could benefit from prizes and incentives, I would love to discuss details and opportunities further should your company be interested in supporting our Base efforts.
