Initiated by the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce and the City of Barrie in 2003, the Barrie Business Awards program recognizes the contribution of local businesses to the continued growth and success of our community. Each year the program begins with a call for nominations, nominee profiles are collected, the panel of judges are assembled online, and finalists are announced at a press reception. The awards will be presented on Friday, October 24, 2025.

Master of Ceremonies for the 2024 Barrie Business Awards
[BARRIE, ON – September 4, 2025] – The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce that Amy Aust of 107.5 Kool FM and McCully of Rock 95 will return as emcees for the 2025 Barrie Business Awards Gala.
Amy has that best-friend vibe with an infectious energy that will have you leaning in. McCully brings a fresh, bold edge, always ready with a quick line that pulls people into the moment and sparks your attention. On their own, each commands the mic with confidence. With Amy and McCully at the helm, the awards will feel like a gathering of friends. They don’t just host the evening. Amy and McCully share the excitement with everyone in the room as they celebrate the best of Barrie’s business community.
Meet Our Hosts:
Amy Aust
Amy Aust brings over 20 years of professional broadcasting experience to the Barrie Business Awards. With a career decorated with numerous accolades, Amy has had the privilege of interviewing top music stars such as Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Florida Georgia Line, and Blake Shelton. Beyond her broadcasting achievements, Amy is deeply involved in local fundraising efforts, contributing significantly to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre's cardiology, cancer, and radiology departments. Her efforts have helped raise millions towards the expansion of these critical hospital services.
A Barrie native, Amy understands the importance of recognizing and supporting local businesses and is excited to co-host this year's event.
McCully
McCully, a seasoned broadcaster with 24 years of experience, has entertained audiences across Canada from Nova Scotia to Alberta. For the past decade, he has made South Georgian Bay his home. Known for his unique blend of humor and charisma, McCully's expertise in business ethics humorously credits to a scene from Adam Sandler’s “Billy Madison” film.
When not on the air, McCully is a dedicated advocate for youth-based organizations and mental health awareness. His annual #MarchMadness4Kids fundraiser has become a staple in the community, raising vital funds for local youth initiatives. McCully also champions mental health on his Rock 95 show, airing every weekday afternoon from 3-7 PM.

The 2025 Barrie Business Awards Gala will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Liberty North. This red-carpet event will welcome Barrie’s business and community leaders for a night of recognition, networking, and celebration. Early bird rates are currently in effect.
