Celebrating 100 years of business leadership, connection & advocacy in Barrie.
Celebrating 100 Years of Business, Community & Growth
The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is turning 100 in 2026 — and we want your help to mark this milestone.
Over the past century, Barrie and Simcoe County have evolved in extraordinary ways. Businesses opened, streets changed, families grew, and memories were made. Through it all, the Barrie Chamber has stood alongside the people and businesses shaping this community.
As we prepare to celebrate our 100th anniversary, we’re launching a community-wide call for memories.
We want to see your photos &
hear your stories.
Share your memories with us
Chamber events, founding businesses, community celebrations - anything Barrie from the last 100 years!
Whether it’s an old storefront, a Chamber event, your grandparents' business, or your own entrepreneurial journey — if it helps tell the story of Barrie through the decades, we want to include it.

Share your Memories with us
- Historic photos of Barrie and Simcoe County
- Business milestones
- Chamber-related events, awards, or memories
- Generational family businesses
- Community moments that shaped the city
Every submission helps us build a living time capsule. One we’ll share throughout the coming year and preserve for generations to come.
Submissions will be shared online, in print and in exhibits leading up to our 100th celebration. Copies will be offered to the Barrie Historical Archives as part of a legacy partnership.
How to Participate
- Upload your photos and stories online; form below.
- Email us at Tricia@BarrieChamber.com
- Or drop off physical submissions at the Barrie Chamber office (121 Commerce Park Drive, Unit A)
- We'll be accepting submissions all year — from now until May 29, 2026.
Spread the Word
This is a Barrie and Simcoe County effort. We want stories from every corner — from Oro-Medonte to Essa, from Innisfil to Springwater.
If you know someone with a photo album full of local history or a business with deep roots, invite them to share!
