[Barrie, ON — December 10, 2025] The Barrie Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the call for nominations is officially open for the 2026 Women in Business Awards, presented by Meridian. A celebration of the outstanding women who power Barrie’s business community.
Since its inception, the Women in Business Awards have provided a platform to honour women who lead, innovate, and make a meaningful impact on our community. For 2026, we’re asking everyone: colleagues, clients, friends and family members, to think about which women deserve recognition for their commitment, leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and community impact.
Why Nominate?
- To shine a spotlight on women who are driving change, building businesses, supporting their communities, and inspiring others through their work.
- To celebrate a woman or women-led business that has gone above and beyond this past year. Whether through innovation, social responsibility, risk-taking or exceptional leadership.
- To give your nominee a chance to share their story and be recognized by a panel of judges from across the province, in a process designed to be transparent, fair and inclusive.
How It Works
Anyone in the Barrie community can submit a nomination. Nominees are invited to immediately accept and provide details about their achievements and impact. A panel of judges is selected from across the Ontario Chamber network, will then review all submissions and determine finalists and winners.
Important Dates
- Nominations Open: Wednesday, December 10, 2025
- Nominations Close: Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 pm
- Nomination Acceptance Deadline: Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 2:00pm
- Award Gala: Friday, March 6, 2026 at Liberty North, Barrie.
