Nominations Now Open for the 2026 Barrie Business Awards
[Barrie, ON – July 20, 2026] The Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce is inviting the community to recognize the businesses, entrepreneurs and community leaders helping shape Barrie's future as nominations officially open for the 2026 Barrie Business Awards.
The annual awards celebrate excellence in business, honouring organisations and individuals whose innovation, leadership and commitment have made a meaningful impact on our community.
"Recognition has the power to inspire. Every nomination shines a light on a business, entrepreneur or community leader whose hard work is making a difference in Barrie. We encourage the community to take a few minutes to celebrate those achievements by submitting a nomination," said Paul Markle, President & CEO of the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce.
Nominations are open until Monday, August 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
The Chamber encourages nominees to accept their nomination as soon as they receive it. Early acceptance provides more time to prepare a thoughtful submission before the acceptance deadline of Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 2:00 pm.
The 2026 Barrie Business Awards Gala will take place on Friday, October 23, 2026 at Liberty North. In honour of the Greater Barrie Chamber of Commerce's Centennial, this year's Gala will transport guests back to the Roaring 20s, celebrating the decade that marked the Chamber's beginning. The evening will honour 100 years of business leadership while recognizing the innovation and excellence that continue to drive Barrie's business community today.Â
